CHICAGO -- Matt Lindstrom will open the season as the Chicago White Sox closer. Manager Robin Ventura said before Mondays opener against Minnesota that the veteran right-hander will serve in that role, at least for now. Lindstrom was 2-4 with a 3.12 ERA in 76 appearances last season, his first with the White Sox. He saved 15 games for Florida in 2009 and 23 for Houston in 201Houston in 2010.
